After achieving your goals, after finally seeing yourself as the person that you wanted to be - you feel good, you feel fantastic, proud of yourself, proud of what you have achieved.

You look healthier, you feel healthier - you are healthier. Your lifestyle has changed to a more positive and beneficial one. And the surprising thing is that it wasn’t as difficult as you first expected it to be. With the power of your own mind and the help of hypnosis to lose weight you are there.

But will it last?

Yes it will!! Because unlike reaching milestones when on a diet you have done it comfortably and you have done it yourself. This healthy lifestyle just continues, it doesn’t come to an end like a diet or a fad does. You continue feeling positive about yourself because it is part of who you are now.

As well as losing the weight and feeling great, you have also improved in other ways.

By losing weight in the controlled way that you have done you have

  • Lessened the chances of developing type 2 diabetes (If you’re overweight, you are twice as likely to develop type 2 diabetes (non-insulin dependent) as people who aren’t overweight).
  • Reduced the risk of Heart disease ad stroke.
  • Improved quality of sleep (reduced the chances of sleep apnoea).
  • Improved your fitness, stamina and overall health.

All these things considered and the fact that it feels right and it feels good to be living this new lifestyle mean that it would feel wrong to go back to that old way of living.

There may be times when you feel that you need to go back for extra sessions with your hypnotherapist - maybe because something has happened in your life that sets you back a bit or you just to keep thing on track, this can happen from time to time and it is good to sometimes refresh the mind of the achievements that have been made and the strong desire to keep up this wonderful new lifestyle.

Mind and Body health Matters - Food Journal

Some times to help with a weight loss program, a food journal is an extra tool to help us with the motivation that we need – or to give us even more incentive to keep going.  One good way to do this is to keep a journal of your food intake and your weekly activities.

The food / activity journal gives you a clear indication of the things you have got correct and the things that may need some adjustments or changes.  It can also assist your doctor (or nutritionist / dietician etc.) with decisions on future health plans.

Some of the things you can keep track of in your journal are

  • Assess motivation
  • Record Exercise Routine
  • Record Progress (Strength, Stamina)
  • Areas that need altering
  • Fat grams, carbs, protein, fibre, etc.
  • Identify your danger zones
  • Pinpoint lapses
  • Assess your reasons for eating (aside from true hunger)
  • Gauge your appetite and/or cravings
  • Track your portion sizes
  • Record your feelings after eating

Whatever you include in your journal – keep it easy to update and keep track of.

It is very important that you keep this record honest.  This is a tool for you to use in your future improvement, there is no point in cheating yourself!  It will show your improvement as you progress so the more accurate it is the more fulfilling the results will be.

You might want take note of your mood before and after food, this will show up if there are issues of emotions related to certain eating habits.
